What lowering springs to get

I'm looking to buy some lowering springs but not sure which ones to get. I have 20" rims and was told 1.5 would scrap like crazy. Also, what all do I need and where is a good place to have them installed? I already have a adj bmr panhard bar but do I need more?

DirtyD 07-02-2014 12:11 PM

depends on how tall of a tire you have on those 20s. BMR springs, Eibach pro kit, Ford Racing K or P springs are a good choice.

I have 255/35 and 285/30. Yea I was thinking those brands but I'm just not sure about the drop

You will have plenty of clearance with those tire sizes on the BMR springs.

I have 285/30 on all 4 with eibach sportlines, no rubbing issues

What do you all have to do to install them? Who did your installation? Looks good btw... Kinda the ride height I'm going for

I did everything. Not hard. You need supporting mods like a Panhard bar. Some people need LCAs and the relocation brackets as well. I have all those with koni yellows, and ground control CC plates.

If you're not too mechanically inclined, I recommend giving Frank a shout. His sn is Bacadiesel. He's a good dude over in Ft. Worth.

If you decide to do it yourself, a tip to help with the panhard, have the axle loaded when you are doing the adjustment.

So I called several places and I'm getting several different things about what I need to lower my car. I've been told just a panhard bar, springs, and chamber bolts to the whole suspension...can anybody help? Looking at the eibach pro kit or sportline. Just not sure about the ride height yet

DirtyD 07-08-2014 09:26 AM

Depends on who you call. Panhard bar, springs, and possibly camber bolts, or caster/camber plates are the essentials. You will eventually want to add lower control arm relocation brackets as well as lower control arms, and an adjustable upper control arm to fix the pinion angle.

20x10 niche targas +40 offset. I needed a small 3mm spacer on the front to clear the brembos

The 295/35s were too tall and rubbed on the front. Returned them and got the 285/30s

Ahhh. I think the 285/30 actually looks a bit better.
