Me vs 07 Vette A6 for a tank of gas.
 

My buddy at work just got an 07 vette and believed it to be the fastest car on the planet. He just put on a Intake, LT's, and exhaust (sangbagged me because I didnt know about the first two) and was thrilled. We had always busted each others balls about vettes and stangs but yesterday was different. The people in his dept started talking about how slow mustangs were and that he would just "walk me" hard. I kept on with the playing it off but it got to the pt where even my friend with the vette started raggin on me. It slowly began to eat at me. So being tired of it I offered to race him after work just for fun. I guess this didnt sit right with the other co-workers who immediatly said to him "race for money".

I was hesitant at first not because of his car but of what money does to friendships sometimes. So i remembered what my dad said about the old days and racing for a tank of gas. He immediatly took the offer and the challenge was set. I also took bets from other Supervisors saying that I would lose for a tank of fuel as well.

So 6pm rolls around and he comes up to me and ask if we are still on for the bet. I immediatly say "yup". We drive off to get on the hwy.

First run was from a 50. I immediatly pulled 2 cars and held it edging out 3 cars by 130.

second run from a 70. This run went well into the 150's and had me ahead by 3-4 cars holding not pulling by 140.

3rd run was a 30. This was was rough. I got out on him hard and by 110 it was pretty bad.

We stop at the nearest gas station and he roll down the windows to chat. He looks at me in the most serious face and says " I cant believe that just happened" LOLOLO! I didnt rub it but just changed the subject. We talked a bit and he gave me my tank of gas at CHevron of course!:headbang: and off I went.

Im at work now and the guy called in! LOl. Anyways just thought i would share. :whip:

That's awesome! Too bad you couldn't get it on camera so he can't make up some lie tomorrow. At least he paid up at the pump.

Next performance stuff will be O/R H and 3:55's. I have 3:31's right now but with the 20's they are more like 3:23's or so.
