Which Go Pro?
 

I'm looking to buy a newer Go Pro (I have an original Hero), I only plan on using it for open track/autox or drag racing, which is maybe once a month tops.

It looks like the Hero 2 HD and Hero 3 white around the same price, with the silver being 100 more and the black 200 more. I don't plan on making any crazy videos, just for personal use and occasionally posting them on youtube or facebook. So my question is which one should I get?

I have the black. I personally thought it worth it to spend the extra money and have the extra features. The video quality is amazing.

I bought the black and love it. Worth it.

I have the hero2 and have had no real complaints. I wish it had the wifi like the black but all I need is the wifi backpack and then im set. If you have the money for the black it is nice to have but the 2 will be more than enough for what your using it for.

I'll put in another vote for the 2hd. Works great and you should be able to find some good deals.

I've got the Hero 2 as well, but I got it pretty cheap. I'd personally go with the Black for the extra features and the "low-light" would be nice for the races.

it sounds like its better to either stick with the 2 or skip over the white and silver to the black...
Anyone looking to sell their Hero 2? I really don't think I want to pay the $400 for a black, I just don't think I would use it enough to justify. Or does someone wanna let me test drive their camera for the weekend?

If you want to spend the money on the black version, get the H3. If not, the H2 with Wifi backpack will be perfect.

Ugh, I know. That's exactly what I said. Haha

I think the H3 may be worth it because of the better night time and low light video it can shoot.

The Hero3 has 3 versions. But yes the "black" is only for the Hero3.
