4.10 gears.....Yes or No

See what you guys think. Its not my daily driver and if and when I do go racing it will mostly be 1/8th mile.

U planning on running drag radials? Spraying nos at the launch? I would think 4.10s would be a little much but that's just my opinion

BLK2012GT 06-20-2012 01:29 AM

Yes with DR and no I wouldn't spray until 2nd.

Midnight11 06-20-2012 01:31 AM

what gears do you have now?

Phuck Phace 06-20-2012 02:44 AM

3.73s...

Grandpa 06-20-2012 02:54 AM

I don't see why not. If you don't like them you can always switch back.

kanetrain 06-20-2012 08:39 AM

6 speed manual? Go for it.

BLK2012GT 06-20-2012 09:09 AM

I have 3.31's now and yes 6spd manual.

pohnjarker 06-20-2012 12:33 PM

highest i would go would be 3.93s. I have 3.73s and they are great for what i used it for.

BLK2012GT 06-20-2012 12:52 PM

Why are the motive gears for 3.90's 40 dollars more then frpp 4.10's? I guess they're not as common.

pohnjarker 06-20-2012 01:06 PM

thats what my guess would be ::shrug::

They might work for the 1/8. With 3.55s I cross the line at 7200 in the 1/4 so I'm pretty close to where I want to be.

I think they should work fine for the 1/8th. Do you have a solid drive shaft or the stock one in your car?
