Dominic Toretto 04-26-2014 05:11 PM

Super heartbreaker dyno, at least in the beginning. A TT boss and a paxton gt both read 100 hp low, then somehow 2 manual 5.0 made 330-340 out of nowhere.

Soulowd 04-26-2014 05:45 PM

Yeah something not right. I would go get my money back.

garner 04-26-2014 05:49 PM

Other cars I caught the numbers of:

392 Charger- 380ish
F150 ecoboost- 317/414(no load on the dyno, so basically 0 boost)
SRT8 6.1 turbo- 402
2v eaton supercharged- 267
Boss TT- 508
Paxton GT- 657
5.0 manual(stock)- 334/440ish
5.0 manual(tune)- 325ish
terminator- 420/490(I think?)
2014 camaro 1LE- 369/392

So the "Eng HP" is actually somehow measuring horsepower at the crank... on a chassis dyno?

Find a shop with a Dynojet dyno and see what it reads for you.

garner 04-26-2014 09:44 PM

Shop posted up the board on Facebook
http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...shj6d3obr.jpeg

The numbers seem changed from when I was there on a couple. And they can't spell my name lol

re-rx7 04-26-2014 09:47 PM

That dyno is fucked.

emery2483 04-26-2014 11:00 PM

like beyond fucked lol^

downtime! 04-26-2014 11:17 PM

Skewed results to favor one brand or another. My car made 385 bone stock through an MT-82.

BV600 04-27-2014 08:19 AM

Where was this at? I would have went!

garner 04-27-2014 06:25 PM

High psi performance on veterans memorial in heights. I didn't find out about it till like 2 am on Saturday

BV600 04-27-2014 07:37 PM

Ah ok. Do you know if Ryan had his aluminator in? I know he bought one.

DirtyD 04-28-2014 09:20 AM

Yeah, I hope you didn't pay more than $20 for that dyno. Because that shop either doesn't know how to operate one, or there is beyond f'ed up.

Exactly.... What he said.

BV600 04-28-2014 08:41 PM

Its funny there is 3-4 dynos all within 5-10miles of me and only one person knows how to operate them.

I'm not even sure what kind of cars they work on. In the shop was 2 neon srt4 and a civic, then outside there were 2 more neon srt4, a 350z, and some others

I have no clue, didn't really talk to any of the stang syndicate guys. But I'm gonna say yes, going off the $25k figure he said he had in the car to a person that asked what he had done to it.

I paid $50 for my 3 pulls, and $50 for my buddy's 3. Not a big deal to me. I probably should've waited and seen how the numbers were going on other cars before I paid, but at least this helps my "v6" cred lol.

I know the mustang club that was there was getting really annoyed by the numbers and were thinking about demanding money back.

Him and I are about 3 hours south of DFW. There's only 2 shops that seem to know how to run a dyno near us, CTP and then the car shop.

Crimson600+HP 04-29-2014 01:31 AM

I would argue about that the car shop (killeen branch) doesn't know how to run a dyno. I had to argue with them for a while that my 1:1 gear was not 4th. I really only put my faith with Jeff in this area.
