The Official DFW5.0s Dyno Thread

Don't know how this hasn't already been started. I'll start.

_______________________________

Got the dyno runs this morning. weather was amazing. Around 65-68*, humidity probably around 70-75%.

First 2 runs we're done on the stock tune. Car has 4500 miles on it, 6M with 3.55 gears, and GT500 ABs. Stock runs were done back-to-back while the car was still warm, fresh off the drive there (50 miles). The run with the Diablosport was done after about 20 mins waiting for the tune to upload, so the car cooled down a bit. Only made one pull, but it was more than enough.

Below are the SAE corrected (1st graph) and STD corrected (2nd graph) showing the results.

Phuck Phace 09-15-2012 03:32 PM

Nice, here's my Truestreet run from awhile ago.
Tune, o/r H, C&L, 3:31 gears. I still have parts laying around I need to throw on it. (Longtubes and Boss 302 mani.)

You too, Clint! Sorry I couldn't talk more. Had to go get an alignment and new tire put on by noon. Lol

I'll definitely be back in the future, and will recommend y'all to anyone looking for a shop.

Looking forward to the Oct. Dyno Day!

Same muffler, different tips.

I'm really thinking about swapping the stock mufflers back on strictly for the Dyno Day to get a true baseline. Might just swap them between runs if I can.

That's crazy you blew up a stock car. Did you figure out what caused it?

Emwun Garand 10-01-2012 01:23 PM

This is my pull back in July.

3.75" upper, stock lower, 19lbs boost, 112* in the shop

Going Saturday with the 3.5" upper and cooler temps, hoping for more.

The tech at Ford said improper engine assembly caused it. Lands and rings were broken in multiple places. And this was cylinder 8, at 23700 miles, on a completely stock car. :mfr_omg:

It does seem to run better than ever down low now, lol. It's smoother for sure. But I haven't had it over 3.5k yet so I don't know if it's any stronger. Maybe I'll dyno it again after 1000 miles.

All I can say is I suggest an Aluminator Budget for anyone that is modifying a Coyote.

Mine 13GTCS A6 with Steeda CAI and VMP tune with pypes muffler deletes. It was 101* and 89% humidity that day

I now have GT500AB's and it feels stronger might make it on the dyno at TS this weekend.

Attachment 110

Since the pic sucks its 374/358

DirtyD 10-01-2012 07:57 PM

Impressive, Don! That tune and intake made some dang good power to out do those 3:15s. Were those numbers SAE or STD?

To me, it seems that SAE levels the playing field more.

From some of the posts here, there is a 3.31 car exactly like mine making the same HP and TQ than mine with 3.55s does in STD
