Max Tire Size
I did a search on here and found a reference of tire size on the 19's, but my question is if anyone knows the max tire size that the rear will fit on any wheel. I'm looking at some new wheels and would love to fit a sexy 315...any thoughts?

There are a number of guys on SVTP in the 2011+ wheel and tire thread running 305s and 315s. But I can't remember if they are lowered, and those tires are VEEEEERY tight. With the right offset and back spacing, I'm sure you could get some to fit inside the wheel wells, but most mass produced wheels will rub with this tires.

My rear wheels are 20x11 and can fit 315's, i currently run 295 pilot super sports which are about the same as 305/315 for other tire manufacturers. However you will need to be careful with the fitment and offset and the car has to be lowered so it clears the bump stop.

I run nitto 305s on my forgestars. Thinking about going to the 325 invo next do to the amount of stretch on the 305.
What wheels do you plan on running? Depending on that can determine tire size. Vossen's particularly their 20's you can't go bigger than 305 without rubbing and thats Nitto 305's which are smaller than other companies due to the offset.
I run the Michelin Pilot Super Sports 295/30/19 on the 9.5"x19" RTR wheel in the rear and 275/30/19 up front.
I've got MT ET Street Radials in a 305/35-19 on my 19x9.5 rear wheels. I believe they are a +40mm offset. Fronts are currently 245/45-19's on a 19x8.5, but I'd like to go bigger when they wear out. The wheels are a +35mm offset.
I really like the Weld RTS. I'm curious how big of a tire I could put on those wheels with a Pro Kit...hmmm...on 17 inch wheels.
If anyone wants a pair of 315/35-20s with half tread for a good price, let me know. They won't work on my 10" wheels but they will kick ass on some 20x11s.
I've got 305/35-20s now and they fit fine. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...mustangpic.jpg |
Looks good! How much are you lowered?
They are Sportlines. The LMR site says 1.3" front and 2.0" rear.
I have 305's on 11 inch rims w/ProKit springs. I have read that 315 will work if you remove the shock dust covers, but I have not tried it. I have no rubbing issues with the 305's. The offset is key.
So what would be the correct offset in both the front and rear?
11" is 53mm and 9.5" is 35mm....I think.
i have some fr500 20x10 and im running 315s that dont rub with an offset of 45
20x11 with a 59mm offset and 20x9.5 in front with a 45mm offset worked good for me. I had a 1.6 drop in front and a 2.0 drop in back. never rubbed.

I had 305's on my other wills and I want 315 or 335's on these. So I guess they won't fit?

Max Tire Size
Unless you ad a lift kit which u can pick up over on MLK blvd

Really depends on the tire brand. I'm probably going to try the 325/30/19 nitto invo on my car next set. The 305 seems a little stretched and I want a little more sidewall than the 305/30/19 I have on there. Now if you're talking Michelin, 305 may be the biggest you can go.
I'm talking about any kind of drag radials.
I think my next rear tire will be a 295/35/20 Nitto Invos on +42 20x10 rim. My measurements say it won't rub based on my current 275/35/20 Ventus V12. Offsets is the key to big wheels. Anything above 305 better have offsets in the high 50s
