my car made 490 rwhp NA.. and 650 on bottle.. after the first few times i ran on bottle, i did a few NA pulls and i thought i broke the car because it felt slow as balls lol. I was seriously mad that the FIRST time i used my nitrous i broke it..

Threw it on the dyno and just as always put down 492 rwhp.. it's like a drug:) and when you are OFF the bottle your shit feels broken...

How much is nitrous these days? I had a 10# bottle back in the day and I think it was like $30 to fill, if that. It wasn't overly expensive, but I've heard it's a lot these days.

3.75-4 dollars a lb, at least that's what it was last year, I sold my car in June, so prices coulda gone up I guess.

Yeah if you compare it to a fully loaded GT cause I got mine 2012 GT for 28k out the door. I don't think a slightly used C6 will go for that price.

I got my 08 3LT full bolt on z51 w/ 29k miles on it for around 32k OTD. I was happy with the price because it's super clean.

2005 vette vs 2012 brembo final match up

Well, finally got down to Austin to visit my brother. We took the 2005 C6 vette (Z51) and my 2012 Brembo GT out on some fantastic twisties. Austin has some great roads. These roads have super tight hairpins with much variation vertically. I was completely impressed with the way my car handled. With my mods (nothing too drastic), I couldn't detect any obvious differences in handling ability between my car and the vette. The 5.0 left me with a grin for the rest of the day. We even got a drag race in at a country stoplight. Dead even up to 80 before we cut it out. With a CAI and tune these cars are every bit as fast as a 2005 vette, at least up to 80.

Awesome. I LOVE taking my Stang out into the countryside for the backroads. It's so much fun.

Do you have any suggestions for good roads around here?

I have a whole route that goes from McKinney to Sherman. We will actually be having a GTG soon using this route for our Spring Country Cruise.

I'll be there.

Gosh I guess I'm kind of late to this... I would say that is right on par. A lightly modded 5.0 is right on par with a c5 z06 or ls2. It will take just a few more mods to beat an ls3. My modded 11 5.0 beat my buddy's stock ls2 and lost by a hair to my other buddy's c5 z06. I say it's definitely a driver's race. Once I got the ls3, the friend with the c5z thought he would walk on me, but from 50-120 I had about 4-6 cars on him.

I can't believe there are so many other vette owners on here. I will say I do miss my mustang... the interior is much better, better quality, a lot more comfortable and in my opinion, a much more practical daily driver.

Lowered Vettes ride better than any Lowered Mustang I've been in... Since I slam all my cars, I guess that changes the comfort advantage the Mustang has... I think Corvettes ride better than any sports car I've driven yet.
