You are not the only one!
But I do like 75% of the car.

Good luck with that with the C7Z supposedly debuting next year.

That is another car that is potentially on my radar.

Solid Rear Axle, (a 9"!) a factory option for the 2015's?

Can't wait to see the performance numbers but it does make me wonder how much of an improvement the 1/4 mile and o-60 times will be over the 2011 - 14.

Certainly it will stomp it around the track, but the drag strip???

I'm still waiting for some WOW factor with the new Mustang. Love it or hate it the C7 brought plenty wow factor with its looks. The engineering changes vs price point change was certainly a wow factor.

I am new to SRA. I've had a Supra and Corvette and both were IRS. Reading that article is kind of confusing. How is an SRA easier to maintain? From all of the IRS cars I've had, there was no maintainance at all. And lowering those cars was actually easier to do. With this car just to lower, you have to take into account all these other variables.

SRA with the 9'' is almost indestructable.

Under "high stress" environments, SRA are less likely to break/fail than IRS.
I've a bud with a stout viper, he stocks the half shafts like we do oil filters.

I wouldn't say "stomp" it but, it should have a certain advantage. I've seen a lot of positive reviews about the Boss 302s cornering ability. Most drivers can't believe it has an SRA with how well the car corners. With that being said and if IRS is weaker than a SRA, I have no idea what the point is with adding IRS to the Mustang is.

Accessibilty. With the boss you had to be on your game to get it out of the car. The IRS allows a broader range of capability with the car. Also, ride quality.

Anybody have anymore good pictures? Preferably comp orange but i want to see all some more.

Mustang on cover of Road and Track and Car and Driver.

The Road and Track article said they were informed by Ford that the base mustang would beat the boss around the track. Just think what the 5.0 is going to do if that weren't to good to be true. They commented on the looks being too middle of the ground Euro/American and the performance numbers would be key towards sales.

v6

"its also worth mentioning that chief engineer Dave Pericak said during our viewing that he wanted the base mustang to beat the Boss around the track. 3.7 V-6 remains the base engine"

Guess I hyped it up a bit in my first post, would vs want. Be one hell of a feat if they did and have them Alpha platform ready for sure if they did.

I can see the performance pack beating the boss, but not a bare bones V6 base.

KurvStr8nr 12-31-2013 02:11 AM

During the recent 2015 Mustang interview on Jay Leno's garage with the Mustang Chief Engineer, he said that the V6 was 300HP (I think that's the same from 2014). I doubt your going to see suspension improvements make up 240HP delta to the '12/'13 Boss 302's.
