The heat exchanger is decent in the KB kit, but it doesn't have the fans. Maybe a retrofit with the spal fans would be decent. It might make more sense to just put that money towards the KC instead.

28.4mph on the backend, play on playa!

The power is there but those shift flares are killing your ET. You don't need me to tell you this! Get the tune to shift right (and run ANY month except June-July-August, lol) and you'll be 10s easy. Great job dude!

I was looking at my gear calculator this morning and the 1-2 and 2-3 occur before the 1/8th mile mark and I was pulling 3rd for the entire back half, so that makes sense. If I can clean up the shifts, the 1/8th mile numbers should improve dramatically, then put a +28 mph on those and it should be in the correct range. I have no idea what kind of MPH or ET I'm losing, but it's got to be pretty significant.

Saturday was a bad night for good ET's. The DA at Redline was 3000+. My MPH was down about 2.5MPH in the 1/8th vs. better air.

Not as well as I would have hoped. I've got a few bugs to work out... mostly with the shifting. It's acting like it's hitting a rev-limiter on both the 1-2 shift as well as the 2-3 shift, but I don't think it's the actual rev limiter. Manny said he has the hard limiter at 7700, so I don't think it's that. Anyway, it feels like you hit the brakes when it hits the limiter and it's doing it on both shifts, so I'm sure I'm losing both some ET as well as MPH. I'll get the bugs worked out and hope for a better result next time. My best pass was:

1.746 60'
7.503 @ 96.05 1/8th
11.5 @ 124.42 1/4

Best 60' was a 1.67 but it's still spinning a bit. I also found out this sucker is 3900# with me and a 1/2 tank! DAMN! That was with the spare removed and pretty much everything else as is.

I also want to figure out a way to get some of the heat out of the supercharger when at the track. Sitting still, I didn't have a way to really cool it off. Going to look into the Killer Chiller or maybe just a larger reservoir to put ice in or something. It never really cooled all the way off. I didn't have a lot of time, so I got in a total of 4 passes and was averaging about 30 minutes apart which wasn't much for cool down. So

In summary, my list of action for next time are:

1.) Get the shifts sorted out. I think there's probably .2 and 2mph associated with this!
2.) Consider going to a 15" DR. Not sure on this. It might be worth trying the 19's some more even if they are a little fickle.
3.) Consider some weight savings somewhere.
4.) Look at cooling options.

Overall, a good first trip with lots of room for improvement! :)

To clarify, I ended up going to Ennis on Friday night. DA's were below 2000'.

My bad - thought you were out Saturday. Yeah, I checked the DA's for Friday and looks like baro pressure was a bit higher on Friday - always good!

I think it was around 1700 which was great! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take advantage of it!
