My vert is a little heavier. It would be around 3400 stock since it has leather and premium sound. Also have subs in the trunk with amp so that adds. Also you have to figure the weight of the supercharger with the piping. My car has no weight savings mods, it is over weight for what it should be. I would say my car is every bit as heavy as Steve's car, Steve actually thinks my car weighs more so ask him about it.

The first two time we ever raced my car was untuned and running rich as hell so I never really went all out. I was shifting below 5500 and rolled into it. If he wants to brag about that its fine, but I laugh everytime I hear about it.

And you bragging about 2.1 ft lbs of torque is still a joke.

Oh please, stop crying. lol Your passenger probably made up for the weight difference my fat ass brings to the table. Gimme a break. lol. Shoulda, coulda, woulda..you got beat by a stock coyote. So what, who cares, it was fun. I had never raced my car either when we raced the first time so that exuse goes right out the window. I didn't even know how to turn the traction control all the way off until we went to the track and that was after we raced.

Yes, foxes weigh quite abit less. Donnie's car probably weighs about 150lbs more than stock which would put it around 3500lbs, with him in around 3700lbs. My car weighs around 3900lbs with me in it.

Not THAT heavy, lol. It's still a fox bro which are quite abit lighter than todays Stangs.

The shipping weight of a Paxton 2000 kit is 90lbs. Your box and amp might add another 30-40lbs so your car isn't THAT much heavier than stock.

Grandpa 05-24-2013 11:33 PM

A quick Google search, according to Ford, Donnie's car weighs 3,333lbs. The automatics weighed 3,524lbs.

Donnie's car - 3,333lbs + 220lbs driver+ 120lbs extras = 3,653lbs

My GT - 3,603lbs+70lbs for premium options+300lbs driver = 3,973lbs.

3,973 - 3,653 = 320lbs

Donnie has a 320lb and 80rwhp advantage over me.

So Donnie is lighter and makes more power than I do. So that tells me that Donnie is a worse driver than I am! lol.

^^ LOL!

In all seriousness the peak number isn't everything. Nick picked up an impressive amount of horse power and torque on the low end and the curve stayed above the previous curve all the way. The graph line did narrow in toward the top but that's to be expected when revving past 7k. If you are looking purely at the peak numbers you aren't looking at it fully.

Come on I can use google as well and the cars you looked up had cloth not leather. It does add weight. But you car in premium weighs no more than 3620 by ever site I've looked at where someone weighed there cars. So everything in my car besides the heads weighs more than stock including my new transmission and I'm still supposed to be at 3400 before amp, supercharger, speaker, etc. ok. Now between me and Jason we weigh damn near 400 lbs lets not forget that.

235 +155 = 390
So 390 + 3400 + 150= 3940
Your car by my math weighs 3903 so I'm heavier.
Hell in person you have said my car was heavier than yours a hundred times but on the boards oh no my car is light.

Also the real big advantage of the new mustangs is the transmission gearing.

2011 gt
1 3.66
2 2.43
3 1.69
4 1.32
5 1.0
6 0.65
Rear end 3.31

Tko 600
1 2.87
2 1.89
3 1.28
4 1.0
5 0.64
Rear gear on mine is 3.27

I would need at least 3.55 to make up the tranny gearing differences in the car. I need new rear gears anyways so it's on the list but I don't feel like doing it for now. Use google some more Steve but you might want to buy a new calculator because your math doesn't add up

LOL, well you are right about one thing in this post, something doesn't add up. There is no reason my slow, stock car with my no driving extra fat ass should be even close to your built blown car. :owned:

Just for the sake of argument, my car has pretty much all the options save for the nav system and the glass roof. 6 speed manual as well. At MIR, with 3/8 tank of gas, Drag Stars and 275/60 MT's on the back and the stock 19" wheels and 245/45's on the front, it weighed 3755 with me in it.

It's not built. It still has the stock short block for god sakes. Hell I still have the stock rear gears in the car. Would a built car still have that?

It's a racecar compared to my stock car. Stock motor, stock gears, etc. :favorites37:

Steve just because my car has more mods than yours does not make it a race car. Once I get a built motor then you can talk all the shit you want but till then no race car. Since I have no plans in the immediate future to build a motor you have a long wait. I will be changing gears shortly and fixing my tach but no built motor.

You are taking this WAY too seriously. Its our hobby, just have fun with it all. Racing, fun smack talk, hanging out, car shows, it's part of all the fun! I'm not taking any of this seriously at all. I'm just excited you have a car again and we can have some fun. Don't let the competitive stuff drive you nuts, just have fun with it. :happy107:

Hell I haven't even driven the car since the last time we were out. I have been swamped and the weather has sucked when I do get a chance. Hopefully I get to drive it this weekend but I'm not holding my breath.

It is for the most part. An Hpipe and now a shifter..whoopty-doo! lol. The Hpipe doesn't make power, it frees up existing power and it's not even that much. The car is still slow as fuck which is the funny part of it. I either have to put my blower on soon or I will sell this thing out of boredom.

Man, anytime you want to go cruisin just let me know. I know a fun backroads way up to Fairview. We can cruise up to Twisted Root for a burger and hang out then cruise back. Doesn't have to be racing all the time. haha.

I will get with you on the twisted root. That sounds like a good time. As for racing the only times my car has been raced are against you. I don't drive the car that hard. It is just a fun cruiser.

Looking at the graph it was making 30-50 more lbft of torque up until 3700 rpm. That is enough for a good seat of the pants feel and should help get down the track. I'm actually pretty impressed with those graphs.
