U sure bout that.....I watched dales video I know it's the 1/4 mile but I don't know if any of those cars cut a 7.9 on the 1/8 mile portion cuz if so that would mean 11.8-12.0 in quarter and the fastest I saw was a 12.2, I know dales old 5.0 would do 7.8-7.9 with his 1.6 60ft on slicks m6

Hmm that's funny I've made 260 passes in the past 2 years and only seen 4 new 5.0's do it.........every time I go to northstar I see 8.2-8.6

46Tbird 06-20-2013 04:51 PM

Well, here's some more, this time at the Motorplex.

Exactly and this is coming from a Chevy guy, $55k-$60 k for something I run the same power for cheaper. Now I know gm keeps raising their damn prices the 2ss was $35k now it's $42k I have just a little over $12k invested so now today for the same car and mods would be around $54k could buy a somewhat used z06 for that not alone a freaking zl1

You seem like a frequent racer so just out of curiosity why spend so much into the camaro to run 12's?

For around what you've spent i would think a built 00-02 camaro-transam or even a blown foxbody would be more rewarding.

I dont know your situation or if you daily your car so forgive me if i come off as a dick. not my intentions.

No ur fine I liked the design of the 5thgen I had no plans of modding until I raced 2 years ago at drag and brag and lost to a 5.0 and ever since been racing and modding. As soon as I can get my funds together I will get a blower but in the mean time keep running 12's, but for racing I won't buy another new camaro as they have gone up in price and the 2014's are ugly as sin I would have to get a auto 5.0 or vette next

That new Z28 is a bad motherfucker. It's the first '10+ Camaro I've seen that I really want. n/a 427 ftw

$70k for a 3200 pound 505 hp car that's gutted out with revaro seats, a/c optional, rather buy a z06 for that kinda money or a cts-v

46Tbird 06-20-2013 05:52 PM

I didn't say I was stupid enough to buy one. I said it's the first one I would really want.

I think gm is crazy asking that much lol

merlinmol 06-21-2013 12:01 AM

Are we sure about the 70k asking price? I was thinking 50ish...

46Tbird 06-21-2013 10:35 AM

There is no mention of pricing yet. I assume it will be at least as much as the ZL1 since it has more trick stuff done to it, even without the blower. If you factor in dealer markups I could see 70k being a very real possibility.
