I am about to lower the car and I am trying to decide what springs to get. I think coil overs are overkill for me and a little over my budget. I was looking at Eibach pro-kit but I am not sure that it will drop it enough. My car has a huge gap with the 20" wheels. I think the sportlines may be the way to go. I am just worried that my longtubes will drag. Does anyone on here run sportlines? I plan to add the springs, panhard, and steeda pro action struts and shocks. The car is not a daily driver but I don't want to have to worry about dragging on everything when I do drive it.

I'm putting on the H&R Race Springs next week. If I remember right the Pro-kit is more performance driven and the sportlines are more drop only springs. If that's the case I'd prefer the Pro-Kit. It's what I had on my old SN95 car and I liked them.

As far as suspension parts look to Jayman(jason) at Hypermotive. Great vendor on here.

I'm on Sportlines and have plenty of clearance. Longtubes would be no problem.

Thanks for the pics Steve. That really helps. It doesn't sit as low as I thought it would. I think those are going to be the way to go.

ProCharge, what is your budget? Some of the coil overs out there aren't that expensive.

Just posted this in the other thread...but your probably going to spend around the same price on the springs, shocks and struts as a set of BC Racing coilovers cost.

I've only done springs so far...and I won't be going to coilovers until after I get wheels, and the soon to be struts and shocks are due for replacement.

Not on a specific budget I just want to get out the cheapest way I can. I think I can do springs, struts/shocks, and Gt500 mounts for about $700.

BC coilovers are around $1,000 from what I have seen.

You can get the ST coilovers which are made by K/W for a little cheaper.

Sportlines here.

Notice that everyone that says they don't have clearance issues is also running a taller tire than stock. If your tire height is stock-ish, then you might have some clearance problems.

Here's a 2013 with stock wheels and tires (25.8") on Sportlines.

Here's my car (26.5" front, 28.5" rear). The extra inch or so of ground clearance does make a difference.

I was about to make that point Danny. My car has about a 27.8" tall tire on it from the factory and is an A6 with 3.15's. Throwing the 20" wheel/tire combo like everyone else has plus some sportlines would look great, but make my gearing even worse.

a set of 3.73's would help that... :hidesbehindsofa:

I love the way your car sets. I have 27.5 tire so I think it will be fine. I know it will be low but its not a daily driver anyway.

Anyone ever used the SR springs that are on American Muscle? 1.5 drop and lots of good reviews. Only $170

But they wouldn't do so well with the PA that's going on in the next month or so.

a set of 3.73's would help that... :hidesbehindsofa:

D, after your car settled how much drop front and rear? I've had BMR springs sitting at the house for a couple months now and will be throwing them on next time I'm in town.

another 1/8-3/16" at most. I think the passenger front being lower has something to do with the strut honestly...I'm saving up to get front struts if I can stop spending money on other things. Haha

Those are 19's in that pic? What size tire?

275/35/19. They are a little shorter than I would like but they will work until I need new ones or new rims

I think they look great. I am leaning towards a 19 with a 275/40 tire. Your car looks good man.
