You guys decide what I should do. My goal is to hit or be above 500 rwhp N/A. Next week my car is going in for a e-85 setup and tune. If that puts be close or at 500 rwhp. If I do the heads, the car will be down for a month cause they ship my heads off to get worked on. It's a pretty penny to do this but I know I will be well above the 500 mark. So lets take a vote on this.

Well, if the goal is to hit 500rw N/A, then doing the heads will certainly help you obtain that goal. If you have the funds for it, go for it.

You should be knocking on the door of it with a good E85 tune, but the heads will easily put you over the top of that. That thing is going to scream on the bottle!

Especially with a 250 shot.:chewie:

^^ That was going to be my recommendation. Screw the heads and do a safe tune 75-100 shot. Probably for the same price if not cheaper than heads.

Last I checked, JPC does exchange for their Stage 1 heads. It's what he used to get over 500 rwhp in NA on the shop car. Might look into that, it would cut the down time considerably.

Yeah but they want 2400 dollars for them. Clint is going to send my heads off somewhere in houston and they do all the work on them and send them back. Saves 900 dollars or so. And I don't drive my stang that much anyways.

Already got nitrous on the car.

Something I find weird in the "coyote world" is that no one publishes flow data on their heads. Are you sure these Houston-ported heads will outflow the CNC'd Boss heads? They might be a good alternative but I have no idea what they cost.

I don't know myself but clint at TS told me they flow better then any heads on the market. I'm sure he will chime in with more details.

Most head porters are going to not publish flow numbers because they are next to impossible to duplicate. Just like a dyno they are going to read diffrent based on weather, what kind of machine is used, is it STD, or SAE, ect. Exsample I have a set of heads on my 438ci small ford that Wilson manifolds ported for the previous owner. I bought the heads and the owner gave the me the flow numbers. 380CFM @ 850 lift. Incredible numbers, I had a local machine shop check valve job/ springs ect and for giggles had them flowed the heads. The heads only flowed 320cfm @850 lift 60cfm diffrence. So long story short, I sent heads in and intake (intake for a full port job) and asked them to flow heads. They flowed 376cfm@850 lift. Not all numbers are going to match

I guess the moral of my experience find you a porter you trust and stick with them. So my guy has ported some of the fastest mod motor cars racing today, He has ported over 40 sets of mod heads for my shop and I can tell you his work in fantastic.

Here are some 2012 GT500 heads that he just comepleted for me

Yes sir...... This guy did my heads on my 2003 turbo cobra. My car with ported heads made 720RWHP on pump gas, and 1021RWHP on Racegas back in 2006. I trust him since I have been using him on all Mod motors since 2006
