I'm curious to know if anyone has had both 20' wheels and 18' wheels running fat tires in the rear and felt a difference between the two. I'm torn between getting 18s with 18×9.5 in front and 18x10.5 in the rear running a 305/40/18 drag radial OR getting 20×9 in front and 20×10.5 in the rear with 305/35/20.

Is it all just about the look or is there a performance difference?

I have a 2012 5.0 not yet lowered. Its a daily driver with the occasional pulls and digs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Austin

20 inch rims wont give you very much sidewall and sidewall is the key to hooking at launch. 18's will hook much better from a dig with more sidewall. Thants why most people get 15's for the drag strip...massive sidewalls on fat tires means an awesome launch.

What Monolith said. I have 20x10 on all 4 with 285 30s. Slippery.

Oem 2010 gt500s are 19s. Or at least that's what came on mine. I'm now running 20s. A 305/35/20 dr and have no hooking issues

You got to have power before you have hooking issues
