Most of yal know about the misfire issue I have been having with my '11 5.0, took it into ford to get a few things fixed that they promised me and to look as the TSB on my cyl 4, cyl 7 and multiple misfire codes. Got the call today from the service manager. They are saying they already did the TSB before I bought the car. I had them replace the coil, plug and pigtail about a month ago to see if it fixed it. It Didn't. Onto what I was told today, he told me my compression on cyls 4 and 7 are well below specs. At this moment they are calling it a motor. I bought the vehicle CPOV and have a year bumper to bumper and 7yr/100k mile powertrain warrenty so I wont have to pay out of pocket for anything...this fucking sucks though...not honestly sure how I feel about this:025:

They'll probably do a short block, or head work, maybe even ring it. But I doubt they put a long block in it. Gotta love warranty!

Already told me it will be a long block. I love warranty work also since I don't have to pay anything. Just want my car back.

That's awesome news. Glad it was fixed under warranty...much better than paying the work yourself lol.

Yes on a positive side I am very glad I don't have to pay for it but damn! I have had the car for just over a month...I am just waiting on a call tomorrow for approval from ford. Didnt know that these PCM have a setting to tell everytime the key is turned after everytime the PCM is messed with(ex- tuning, going to stock tune before going to dealer. It will show how many times the key was turned. Luckily I work at an automotive shop so I have tools the go into the PCM so they cant blame it on the tuner. :troll3:

That is something us broke ass bitches have because we can't afford to buy the fun stuff for our cars.. For me anyway.

Was told it will take a day to get a 5.0 long block and a day to install then a day to run test. I will know tomorrow what is going on and how long it will be

3 days? that would be awesome! My car was in the shop for 2 days for a damn LCA...

though, if it's the whole motor is should be relatively straight forward. best of luck!

I need a factory air box. Getting rid of the Steeda. Not going to chance the new motor with running the Steeda all the way home until I can put my tune back on.

Not sure if the 1 is the same as the 14, but if it is, http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/4399440566.html

It kinda sucks but I'm not going to be mad at the man that wants to put a brand new motor in my car.

Ummm, I am missing the part where this situation sucks. Brand new 5.0 long block free of charge... what's the problem again?

In the end you will be happy brother. Better to have an engine without problems (and zero miles) than one that was rebuilt that it could happen to again. You may get lucky with a 2013/2014 engine that was built with leftover Boss 302 parts.

Fair enough. Do you get a loaner?

Yes. Currently I have a '13 fusion ecoboost:emotions122: I will be going up there to get some stuff out of the car and see if they can switch me into a truck or something else. Im to tall for this car.

If only that would truly happen! lol :gasp:

Shouldn't be too bad if you only have to drive it for 3 days.

Been in it for a week now. Looks like I wont have the car back until Wednesday at the latest. Still waiting for a call back from the dealership.

So you fit in a Mustang GT but not in a Fusion? :hmm:

I have more leg room in the stang and the seats fit me better.

Talked to the dealership and they are going to replace the motor. Going to run a brand new long block. Also told me that when I pick up the car to put my tune back on. They know I already had it on there and he knows that the Steeda needs it.(luckily he is a mustang guy) Damn Steeda! Looks like I will have it anytime Wednesday-Friday.

Well finally got the car back last night. Took awhile for Ford to approve the warranty work. New long block installed and I forgot how much I love this car! Sounds and runs so much better when firing on all 8. Also had VMP send me a custom tune and all I can say it HOLY SHIT! Love this tune. Time for cat deletes to be put on and start on my suspension.

Glad you got it back, I was talking to Eric about it when I saw it earlier yesterday.

I had to drop mine off for a stupid fuel filler code.

Yeah sure as hell took a lot longer then they all thought it would but I am sure as hell glad to have it back in my possession. Now just need to properly break it in. :rotflmao:

I love the "0 mile 5.0 long block" in the sig.

Even better than an engine rebuild IMO. Congrats on getting her back!

Yeah I figured I would make a funny. Probably has close to 100 miles right now. The dealer put on 30 before they felt comfortable giving her back to me. I am glad to have her back. Slowly adding my parts now.
