I loved the sound of the GT500 mufflers but I wanted it just a touch louder. After scouring the classifieds and looking through a bunch of options I came to a "unique" decision. I picked up Chad's Boss side pipes and hurried home to install them. Holy cow does it sound absolutely wicked! Bonus points for the wife liking it as well!

I HATE YOU. lol
That is the last piece of my exhaust puzzle, I just haven't gotten up the courage to buy some yet due to the price tag.

Excellent sound.
If the restrictor plates are still in; then you ought to remove them completely; then you'll get the full effect of the side pipes.
Before I switched to X pipe I was running with Roush A/B's. It was nuts.

No restrictors! Chad threw them away before he left the lot when he took delivery of his Boss. I LOVE it.

That's what I got. Stock in the back and 302 H-Pipe with side pipes. No restrictors. I used to have QTP Cutouts but sold them after a couple of months of leaving them open. Exhaust in stereo. I still have the blanks and restrictors that came with it. If I eventually delete the cats I'll drill out the blanks to 5/8" or 3/4".
I was thinking about adding an aftermarket A/B but this set up sounds pretty good already.

The GT500s sound pretty good! No idea how much quieter it is with the stock mufflers though. Where do you live? I'd be curious to hear yours.
