My current setup is Eibach Sportlines, BMR adjustable panhard bar and stock struts and shocks. I want to go with Koni yellows and catch the sale going right now. My question is do I get the 05-10 Koni's and GT500 strut mounts or the 11-14 Koni's and stock mounts? Are the GT500 mounts that much better?

Get the 05-10 and get GT500 mounts. The factory mounts, although can be reused, are really more of a one time use part. The GT500 mount is a little more robust.

Or just spend the extra money on caster/camber plates.

My sportlines were too low to adjust the front end, even with camber bolts. Get camber plates and the shocks for 11+

Not what I wanted to hear lol. Thanks for the information.

You can try turning the GT500 mounts inward to gain more camber adjustment. Basically install them with the "arrows" pointing in. It's a common trick used by a lot of people.

If you can afford it, get the camber plates. It's costly but makes it all easier.

If you are going to autocross or track I'd get the camber plates. The maximum motorsports ones come with bushings so they are compatible with either style strut.

That's probably what I will do, buy the struts and shocks then save up for the plates.

As long as you are saving up for strut mounts , you should have a look at the Vorshlag CC Plate offering. If you plan to Auto cross then these are worth the price. "IMO"

Not sure what drop the springs will net you but I recently put my SRT.T shocks / struts on with the GT500 mounts and its great! If you need more adjustablility due to the drop (if its low) then go with the 11+ shocks / struts and pair them with a caster / camber plate. I Didn't need the extra adjustability and am in perfect spec with the GT500 mounts, 05-10 SRT.Ts, and BMR springs.

I ended up going with gt500 strut mounts and koni yellows, I already have Eibach sportlines on the car. I haven't installed the strut mounts, struts, and shocks yet. Hopefully in the next week or two I'll have time to do it. I'm gonna try the arrows in on the strut mounts but if I need caster camber plates I will just have to bite the bullet and get some.

You would be fine with just some eibach camber bolts. That's what I had for a long while. I just went to cc plates for the adjustability at the track

Cool, that's good to know. I'll probably get some cc plates in the future right now there are other things I'd like to do first. Do you still have you're Eibach camber bolts? If you do and still want to sell them I'll buy them from you.

Factory Strut Mounts are garbage and only lasted a couple of months after lowering the car. I just installed Orange Koni's and GT500 Upper Strut Mounts to get rid of the popping noise.

The noise is gone and it feels like it rides a little smoother. Only problem is that the GT500 Strut Mounts don't fit on the 2011-2014 Struts so I had to buy 2005-2010 Struts to make them work. Going to Muffler King tomorrow to get it aligned again.

I have koni oranges (str.t's) and the GT500 strut mounts DO NOT fit .... You cannot attach the top nut as the bolt is flush with the top of the strut mount..

I had the exact same setup but then switched to cc plates because of alignment issues. The gt500 mounts worked for me on the 2005-2010 str.t's. I believe the long stud on the 2011+ struts are shorter than the 2005-2010 version and will not work with the gt500 mounts. Is that what you were using?

2005-2010 struts with gt500 mounts should work on all s197 cars I believe.

JDM is right. The GT500 mounts with 05-10 Struts will work on the 2011+ cars. If you use 2011+ Stuts then its either caster camber plates or stock strut mounts.

Also, I've read that turning the strut mounts (gt500) 180 degrees allows for proper, safe alignment without the need for camber bolts. Just FYI

correct. I did this on mine and didn't really need to install the camber bolts, but did so anyways.

I'm really glad i saw this… I have a 2014 so i would need this http://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=1118&superpro=0
for 05-10 if i wanted to use gt500 strut mounts? Also would these sway bars work?
