2011 5.0 a6 with steeda cai, pypes x-pipe, magnaflow over axle and muffler. When rps sit over 3k for some time and let car engine brake I'm getting the wonderful blinking engine and cyl 4 misfire. Dealer replaced coil and plug last week. Still getting it. Code has not hard set since coil and plug were replaced but I usually get it at least once a day. Any thoughts? Just uploaded my tune today from Kevin. Any thoughts?:devilfinger:

Since it is doing it in a specific RPM range, my guess is it is tune related issue with fuel delivery. If it were a bad part, it would be missing all the time. My guess first would be tune related. If not, maybe the injector for that cylinder isn't working properly.

I just got my tune uploaded from Kevin so I will check today driving home and see what happens. I bought the car with the Steeda and the dealer flashed the comp. I'm thinking the Steeda was causing it because I know with the Steeda intake it requires a tune.

Sounds like a COP issue.

COP as in coil on plug? Already had the coil and plug replaced through the dealer. Since the tune I have not had an issue yet. Still need to data log and send it back to Kevin.

Yeah, coil on plug. But if you haven't had the issue since yo uput the tune on, no telling what it was.

Its come back about one blinking cel a day and hard sets about every 2-3 days. Hit last night and I couldn't drive cause it would buck. Shut it off on the highway and coasted to a stop. Started few mins later and hard set cel was gone and was running perfect. It will be taken back again to the dealer for a few more things to get fixed. The will check everything again.

Man that sucks. I had to take mine into the Ford dealer to have a crankshaft position relearn due to getting random misfires (P0300, P0304, P0307 codes for random, cyinder #4, & cylinder #7). This normally only happens when people pull the engine or transmission works as the sensors are often unplugged and not reset. Don't know if that information will help you or not, but it did fix my problem. Simple reset and relearn with Ford's IDS tool.
Keep us updated and hope it's an easy fix.

With this being replaced I know they have to reflash the comp. so I am guessing it is best to put my factory tune back on before pulling up to the dealer?

It shouldn't affect the tune. They don't have to flash the computer just do the misfire relearn procedure.

I understand that. Don't want them to see the tune and blame it on the tune.

How long did it take? I am taking the stang in next Friday. I have a few other things they have to fix and figured I would take it in at the same time instead of making 2 trips.

The actual process is simple, hook the machine up and rev it a couple times for the computer to relearn whatever it needs to do. If you have an appointment and they take care of it at that time, you should be in and out in 1 to 1.5 hours.
I had to leave mine there because I wasn't on a hard appointment, just on the list of cars that need work done. But I dropped it off at 7 am, got it back by 1 pm.
