Okay i have a '14 gt and im trying to decide on what tires i should get. I recently bought the sve lowering springs, j&m adjustable panhard bar and the eibach camber bolts. It says they lower the car 1.5". I also have 20" fr500s. I was thinkin 255 35s and 295 35s. I need help. Or should it be 30s? I have looked on the forum but nobody says the tire size. Lol.

I have 20x10's in the rear and I was running 305/35 Dr's with no rubbing. The guy i bought them from was lowered on Eibach Pro's and he didnt have rubbing issues either.

Man...I must either be old or just not cool.

I can't stand my 19's I can't IMAGINE rolling on 20's!!

What are the widths of the wheels? That will help to determine a tires size.

I'm going to assume a 8.5/10 stagger? In that case, I would run a 255/35/20 and a 305/30/20 if you can find that size. A 295/35/20 is a hair over a 28" tire, but it should fit without rubbing issues.

I run 285's in the rear. 19's and 20's look at home on these cars. The car is big so it needs a big wheel.

I have a 305/35 Nitto DR on a 20x11 wheel on the back and it fits perfectly. No bulge in the sidewall, perfectly flat and no rubbing.

For a 10" rim, 295/35-20 is the perfect size tire. You could go with a 305 Nitto since they run a hair smaller, but I couldn't find a non drag radial in that size. Find a 295/35 tire that you want, and then get a front runner to match. Fronts are easy, something in the 235-265 range will work depending on what width you have.

Thanks alot. Theres alot here that are running 255 35s in front and i think i am gna run 305 30s out back. But the 305 35s look good too. And yes 8.5/10 are the wheels. I just dont want it to rub.

Im so undecided. Lol. I guess it all the depends on the offset of the rear wheels right?

Yes, it depends on the offset, but those FR500s have the offset that should work.

I was playing this exact same game as you are. Ended up looking at LOTS of pictures, and decided that a 295/35 looked better than a 305/30, as those are the only realistic options that I could find for a 10" wheel. 305/30 is just too short looking of a tire to me.

This car on SVTP has the FR500s in 8.5/10 with 255/35/20 and 295/35/20 tires.

Possibly look into a 265/35/20 tire. That should fit that front wheel, and will give you a bit of sidewall bulge to help protect the lip of the wheel.

Thanks alot for that pic. Now i kinda know how theyll look on my car. Those tires are a good size plus the 1"-1.5" drop will make it look even better.

DirtyD is on point with the picture! As far as the wife goes, just throw some springs on there and if she says anything, Huh, I don't know sweetie the suspension must have settled in ;)

Already figured out what type of tire you want meaning brand/style? Or are you just looking for size suggestions?

This all depends on your backspacing. Some wheels allow you to run a larger tire, while others don't. I personally always try to fit the biggest tire I can on my wheels. I'd run 275/35's up front and 305/35's in the rear. My "old car" will show you how well it looked lol.

Re-RX7 can comment there.
