I can feel the cabin fever creeping up on me. Been in my house since Thursday afternoon. The thought that I may not be able to leave till Monday afternoon or so sucks. What are you guys doing? Anyone driving around? Are restaurants even open? All I've been doing is sitting around on the internet wishing I could go to buffalo wild wings or something. Luckily the UT game is on to keep me distracted for a few hours.

Been in the garage, messing around with the new car. Adjusting the idle, installing my foot gas pedal cover (LOL!), just little things. It's too damn cold to stay out there very long.

Also, spending time online, buying parts for it, so when it does warm back up, I'll have something to do then.

So glad I never have to take another final, especially after four years of college and three years of law school. This is the first winter since like the 6th grade that I don't have finals and it's sooooooo awesome. Lol.

(Sorry to rub it in!)

We havn't had power in Dallas since Friday at 4:00am. Just got it back. BUT my wife and I drove to Lewisville yesterday morning to stay with some family to stay warm. Scariest drive ever. Lol.

You mean one of these?Yes Sir. I bought it at Kissingers Auto Supply in Burleson, in 1979. It's been in quite a few cars over the years. Sadly, I've lost the dimmer switch foot pedal, so I guess I'll have to buy a new one.

Well we closed the shop down today, roads near me were terrible this morning so I have been driving around our neighborhood sliding around corners and playing with my daughter on her gokart. Been really nice to finally have a day off that I can spend time with my daughter just goofing off. We are now getting ready to eat dinner with some friends and tip back a few rounds of makers mark 46 and some sample whiskeys I picked up from the liquor store a couple weeks ago. Tryin to find a favorite.. Hehe

Nice! At least you're keeping busy. My wife is just doing school work and I'm pretty much on my laptop all day with the TV in the background. Find myself being hungry just out of boredom.

It sucks as well because before Thanksgiving I had made it up to jogging 7 miles. Now with Thanksgiving break and this damn ice fest, I'll probably be back down to 3 miles or so.

Nice man, congrats! At least you have no excuses to not study!

Yeah all I've seen in Lewisville is the street in front of my house. I've seen some people leaving and they seem to make it back home in one piece, I'm just not really willing to risk it. I'd love to go out though and see what the rest of the town looks like though.

Saw someone last night redlining the shit out of their SUV trying to drive up the road. They seemed incredibly determined to leave for whatever reason. Probably flooring the gas for a good 5 to 10 minutes and eventually made it up the road and out of the neighborhood. I just assumed it was a pissed off girlfriend or something!

Very nice. Sure wish I would have thought to pick up some bourbon before this crap hit. I'd be having a hell of an easier time passing the time. I'm just about out of beer. Gonna have to tap a bottle of Cabernet next.

My kids have been driving me up a wall since we are stuck in the house. Luckily they are staying the night with my folks tonight. We were supposed to go to my wife's company Xmas party but it got cancelled. So we said screw it and are going to a movie.

Been watching online interviews of random pornstars on youtube. Also watching all of the F&F videos and extras on DVD, can't wait to get F&F6 next week. Sucks to be living off Dominos but whatever. Need to go grocery shopping badly but, thank God I have a whole package of toilet paper.

Interesting. My wife's company was supposed to have a Christmas part as well. At House of Blues. Obviously cancelled. Not sure if we got a confirmation that our hotel reservation got cancelled and refunded yet.

Wait, are pizza places delivering? I keep seeing commercials for Pizza Hut and was thinking of ordering a pizza and getting the driver to pick up some beer for me for a little extra cash haha

Dang yeah that kinda sucks.

Its amazing what a difference 15-20 miles makes. According to my sister in Richardson it's not nearly as ridiculous as up here in Lewisville.

I have left the pony in the corral. I took my wife's Nissan Rogue to work yesterday and drove it today. I am impressed with the Rogue. It is a gutless wonder in normal conditions but a beast in the snow. Front wheel drive rocks only in this weather

I dont blame you a bit. Find one of those places that will hook you up with a free hot drink and stay warm. I can only imagine the stupid shit you have seen the last couple of days. stay safe out there bro

Yeah it's funny. I remember some dating show that used to come on back when I was in college and they had Aria Giovanni and Jodie Moore. I've been amazed at everything you can find on youtube, so I figured I would search for that episode. No luck but, I did find out that Alexis Texas doesn't do Black guys, Rachel Starr is from Dallas and drives a Vanquish.

Wait, are pizza places delivering? I keep seeing commercials for Pizza Hut and was thinking of ordering a pizza and getting the driver to pick up some beer for me for a little extra cash haha

Dominos delivered to me. Before placing my order I did ask because it's pretty bad around here. Haven't been able to leave my apartment complex.

Driving home from downtown to Coppell Firday night was scary as he'll!! So I've been studying for finals and watching Netflix all weekend. Luckily the Tom Thimb is on a 1/2 mile away so k can get there. The roads here are finally pretty decent to drive on. (Belt line / MacArthur)

You should see my area, its awful. I went to get some beer for the Ohio State game last night. Drove to a corner store 2 miles away in the wife's Altima and it took me an hour round trip. Highway 170 is a parking lot of jack knifed 18 wheelers.

As for me I picked up Gran Turismo 5 again, but am kinda bored of that again now, some studying for CCNP, and random TV watching. I defiantly am itching to go drive my car again!

I finally got a chance to get out of the house. Spent about 45 minutes to an hour running the honda civic with full defrost and scraped 3-4 inch deep ice off every surface. Around 11:30 the hard ice started to turn slushier so I decided to drive to the Kroger to refill on supplies. We were running low on food ideas in the house. Also re-stocked on beer since I doubt I'll be traveling up to Gainesville tomorrow to work.

Yeah, my coworker was saying it's still a pretty big mess up there, which I would assume since its worse there than it is here. Doubt I'll be willing to risk the trek from here, over all the bridges/overpasses, up to that if all this ice isn't gone.

I ended up driving to my girlfriend's house in Crowley Friday about 6 PM. Kind of a stupid decision, but it was then or never.

Other than that, hung out with her and the pups, walked to redbox a few times, and slept.

Not really too bad at all.

Man this ice was crazy for me. My mom drives a 370z and tried to drive us to Cicis up the street. We didnt even get out of the garage and car couldn't get traction. So she parks the card and we're outside behind the car talking and I bullshit you not car starts sliding out of nowhere. I tried to stop the car and ended up getting pinned in between my car and my fence and my moms car got pretty jacked up. After that we walked our asses to Cicis lmao
