It was a rainy weekend, tires bald, and an instructor who wouldn't let me shift below 4th gear for some reason...but at least I got some awesome pictures.

The tow hook is there, I just attached a nylon tow loop on that to prevent the metal hook from banging on the lower grille. I had to have it modified a little to make room for the intercooler, but the strength is still there.

I recommend HPDE to everyone. On a weekend you will have 8, 20 minute sessions on challenging courses for only $300. Much more exhilarating than drag racing or auto-x IMO.

HDPE events are fun. More fun as you progress up the ladder to DE 2,3 and 4. Once you go into something like NASA and you can progress up to Time trials or D2D. Then there's the whole weight to power ratio you have to keep in mind. I think I can get my Mustang down to 3300lbs with me in it. That means I have to restrict my HP to 360 RWHP for TT3. For TT2 I can go up to 410 RWHP at 3300lbs. However, the faster you go the better drivers are there in that class.

Anyway, Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX has open track day around once a month for $150 that includes an instructor and 4 to 5 20 min sessions if anyone is interested. They have their own system for HPDE levels. Instead of numbers, it goes by colors. You are automatically put in to green (novice) if it's your first time there.

I would like to get down to TWS for their HPDE events. I will have to check out the schedule.
