Hey Ladies and Gents,

Relatively new to area, moved to N. Dallas (635 & 75) in January, only places I know are where I live and work, nothing else really.

My Mustang is a 1999 GT, hard top 4.6L 2V, 5 spd T45
Mods are basic; cold air intake, diablo 93 performance tune, mongoose stage 2 clutch, short throw shifter, Brembo brakes, dropped on to SVT Cobra wheels.

My Plans are to Build a 5.4L, forged internals, supercharge it, throw it in with a T56, new gears in the rear, new front bumper and hood, and of course get more aggressive exhaust. Final touch is repaint body, but thats the short version of what I envision.

I heard of this group from facebook, and since I have no friends within 190mi, I was persuaded by my wife to find a Mustang group to find some friends with the same love of these beasts as myself.

Thanks,

Jon

I moved here from my hometown of Mission Viejo, Ca. Ya my wife suggested this since I occupy my time with work or XBox since my closest friend is in Austin, so she thinks I need friends here.

Ah, so maybe you could get us some space in the parking garage for a group photoshoot! :D

I'm a southern Cali native as well. I've been here a long time though. Texas is home, but these crazy Texans don't know squat about good Mexican food! lol

I've had Mexican from both TX and CA. Texas wins.

Stop going to Taco Casa.

I only get my Mexican food from places that I have to use hand gestures to communicate what I want. They seem to know pretty well how to make some good Mexican.

You're high on something really strong. lol

Cali = fresh real Mexican food.

Texas = Texmex slop with garbage canned sauces poured everything to kill the taste of dried out frozen meats.

I wouldn't feed Taco Case to my dog. :puke:

I do agree on your second part of your comment.

I will see about getting us some roof space for a group photo when we all can agree on a good day and time and etc. (plus I need to beg management of property for permission) but even the lower levels are good when its empty from the tenants so we can get covered shots under lighting. As far as Mexican food, haven't had much out here, but the grey goose or whatever my wife dragged me to was very nice, but still I think downtown Santa Ana in Ca had the best food not from any restaurant (unless it was old school family owned) but from the street carts. Also old town San Diego has great shit too, I prefer where the tortilla's are made right in the restaurant, super fresh and tear easily. However due to my time in San Diego for boot camp, I never wanted to go near it again. 1 of the founding reasons I wanted to move out here. That and gun laws hahaha

Santa Ana is the non-official official Mexico City in the U.S! lol

San Diego is the best place in the world for real fish fresh tacos!

You went to the Blue Goose, and while I don't find it to be Mexican food (more Tex-mex) I do like their food and margaritas.

Thanks for the correction, I knew it had to have been close hahaha, and my wife loves their drinks, I just like to eat anywhere. Haven't tried Taco Bueno yet, just tried Tin Star today at work, nachos were great but way too much cheese. But it was worth trying out.
