Does anyone know of a bakery that makes reasonably price made to order cakes? My wife is throwing a baby shower and she's trying to find a place to make the cake that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg. Some of these places want $250-$300!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How big and you talking?

Krogers tend to be pretty reasonable with good cakes.

My mom and sister love this place, but it would be one hell of a drive for your wife.

There is a girl at my church that makes awesome cakes/cupcakes! Very creative and they always taste amazing! She would charge but I don't think that much. How many are you feeding with it? That's the big question.

Krogers Marketplace has a nice bakery, but they don't seem to do fondet type icing.

40-50 people. I would expect to pay for someone's time and would never ask for something like that to be done for free.
