I need tires bad on my car, I'm at about 2/32 all the way around.

Well I got a quote from a friend of mine, he says he can mount/balance out the door $650 for 245/45r19.

Is this a good deal?
I wanted 255/40r19 all the way around but he says it jumps up in price a lot from $650 to $950.

Or should I do 255 for the rears only?
And have you guys heard of these tires, any good?

Eagle gt is a all season tire so its not gonna be super sticky. It will however wear really well. 255's are a weird size.

How are they compared to stock pirellis?

The pirellis probally grip a little better due to tread compound and the wider tire since you will be getting 245 s 255. Dont feel bad though, im on 235's. lol

They will be a stiffer compound, but will take more miles to wear.

I recommend the Continental DW summer tire. Better than the Pirellis, and should wear much better.

We have two guys that work for Discount Tire, so if you would like a little of a discount, they can help.

Ok my friend has 2011 19' wheels and tires(Pirelli pzero Nero)95% tread. He says he will sell me for $900. Is this a better deal than just buying pirellis

Idk if they are brembo wheels or not. I will go check them out Monday

If they are the Nero Pirelli's then he has the premium 19x8.5 wheels, and those tires should be 245/50/19 (I think). Those tires will for you wheels, even if you have Brembos, but they may be slightly stretch since Brembos are 19x9 wheels with 255/40/19.

I will never understand 19" tires. Its almost cheaper just to buy a set of wheelsand tires then buying just tires.

There are some good options, but definitely not as plentiful as 18s and 20s.

Sometimes you just have to get what you can afford.

Def. I mean for a good set its almost just worth it to order a set of AMR 20's and tire package.

Not including mounting and balancing, I spent $866.00 for my BFGs 285/35/19s rear and 255/35/19s front brand new. Just a point of reference for you Frank.

866 aint bad.

$191 a piece for the 255s and $242 a piece for the 285s. Of course it was a bit extra to have Discounttire do the install but meh. Got rid of those factory gay 235s.

You'll be glad you got rid of those whenever you do, if you're still not planning on selling your Mustang.

That's what I've been looking at as well. I'm really wanting the new GT500 wheels but they don't offer them in 20's.

My main choice is the Shelby cs40 black machined like the one's Danny(46Tbird) has.
