It would have been better but I lost a good chunk on my trade. Well, my negative equity was equal to the amount I would have saved in taxes by trading in and taking advantage of the tax break. So, its like I bought my 5.0 with no trade in and paid full TTL. Not ideal but I really wanted the car. To each their own.

When I first financed the car, did a 4 @ 2.2%, paying $606/month. Just recently refinanced to ease my wallet, and help pay off some CC bills, and now I'm on the loan by myself, refinanced for 5 @ 2.35%, paying $455/month. All with GAP. I put down $6k.

Damn, any money down? Lucky bastard. Not much. I think I ended up financing around $25,000, so about $4500 down. X plan and dealing got me in the car for just over $30,000 on a sticker price of $39,000. It's not the car I went to buy, but I Like what I ended up with.

It sounds like your haggling worked! I Put 10k down no trade and 5yr 27k loan @1.9 gave me 525/mo. This was at grapevine ford in November 2011.

Yeah that's what happens with tons of rollover due to stupid people :/ But I do like the car. Plus side is that even with that loan payment, the total operating cost is a few hundred dollars less than my last truck was. Bad part is we can't put that money towards the loan cause according to navy federal it goes to interest and not principle, lame

Typically you monthly payment goes more towards both interest and principle. Any extra amount paid after your payment go straight to principle, since you've already paid the interest for that term.

He must be an idiot. Your monthly payment factors in paying off both interest and principle each term. Any extra payment made AFTER your monthly payment pays strictly to principle, which is why you can pay extra and pay off a loan early.

I want a truck for other purposes than strictly having another vehicle to drive. Hauling a dog in a car like this isn't exactly ideal, although I do it, and so does Ryan. But having a truck allows for much easier things to be done, not to mention to take out and have som fun with offroad, which the car definitely can't do.

LOL! Tell me about it. A truck is a MUST have in my opinion. I have two kids with all their stuff (bags/strollers etc) , a wife who shops and a dog. If it wasn't for the truck, our dog would definitely never go anywhere because its not allowed in either of the Stangs. All of that nasty dog hair and smell is not allowed in the Stangs, that's just nasty! All of my gear for training/lesson appointments. On family weekend trips we easily fill up our Explorer (its a 4x4) with all of our bags, suitscases and the kids stuff. Been thinking about getting a Eco-Boost Explorer but considering stepping up to a bigger truck like a Expedition or Suburban/Yukon XL for the more room.

I learned long ago that you shouldn't race your daily driver. It's just too much hassle and stress if you break it or put too much wear and tear on it being your sole source of transportation. If you can't afford a second car, chances are you can't afford your racing habit.

There are days where I really miss having my truck. I had originally planned to keep it and the Mustang, but it didn't pan out that way. I typically am able to keep Tucker's hair under control in the car, but when the windows are down, which he loves, all bets are off. Haha

I highly recommend that you wait until the next gen F-150/Expy are announced next year. You will kick yourself now if you get a 5.4 3V Expy. My mom got one. It's great SUV, but if it didn't have the 3.73s that come with the tow package, it would be an absolute dog to drive with the standard 3.31s. Other than that, great car. Don't miss our old E-150 custom at all.

This is exactly why I've been reluctant to go out to any track days. After seeing Don wreck his car, I really just can't risk that, as much as I would LOVE to go out every weekend and enjoy some 1/4 mile passes.

Jeus christ you have a short fuse with me aparently. Cant get along? What happened to debating? Which is what is going on here. I asked why he wanted a Fiest. He said his Honda was crap. I retorted with most hondas are solid? Im not just a import Guy Ive looked at Fiesta St's as well.

This isn't a debate. Ever since you decided you are going to sell your Stang you've been back on your pro-import kick again. He isn't interested in why you think imports are better. He's formed his opinion based on his experience with his Honda. He's decided to go a different direction and you want to argue about it. His opinion isn't the same as yours. Just let it go.

Id take the lower APR route depending on how well they keep value. Find a pre-owned Fiesta that way you get the pre-cert warranty.

2013 GT Premium w/ Recaro Racing Seats and I think it's the optional California package rear wing everything else is stock. $295/month @ 2.55%APR for 6 years but I pay $325 so I should have it paid off in 4 1/2 more years.

Well then you didn't get screwed, you just don't have a long enough credit history.

I think I did pretty well considering I bought my car shortly after the 13's came out.

0 down, No trade in, GAP, and Wheel insurance (covers any wheels on the car). Got the car at invoice which was 30265 or something like that.

$520/mo. 2.95% @ 72

I was offered 1.9% at 66 mo. but the payments were higher.
