If I were to send my engine to MMR for their MMR 1000 package could anyone help me remove my engine and let me keep my car their until the engine returns? I don't have the means to do it on my own I would need help from my group.

Upgrade to MMR 5.2 Liter Pro Mod sleeves (increases strength and makes 5.2 liters without ANY compromise in strength, handles up to 1700HP + $1799

Add ARP main studs $249
Add MMR Billet Oil Pump $399 (for gears only add $289)
Add Ceramic or MMR M2500 Piston coating +$300

Pick-up and return shipping within the US - +$390

Holy crap that's an expensive package. By the time you get done with the upgrades (doesn't come with ARP main studs or any head work for $8500?), you'll be in that for an easy $10,000.

Have you checked out any of the other available options? CHP has some pretty attractive pricing.

Wow that seems like a great deal if you can spare not having a vehicle / room to store it during the down time.

How much does it cost to ship to MMR and for them to ship it back?

A little OT but I would check with L&M.
http://www.lmengines.com/

They are the engine builders behind the quickest/fastest 5.0's.

May be a little more vs. MMR but you will receive a much better end product.

OP - what are your end goals with the built engine?

Yeah, definitely L&M over MMR.

Give L&M a call. You will get a much better quality build vs. MMR. It is worth the extra money spent for piece of mind and not having to deal with hard earned cash spent on a POS and the headaches dealing with it.

If you haven't already, do a Google search for MMR, read about the past issues and continued exploitation they continue to perform (I.E. head cooling mod).

Of course it is your money and you are free to spend it as you may but perform some due diligence and research before you buy.

500 hp n/a is totally doable, just give Justin a call at JPC and ask for this -

http://www.jpcracing.com/top-dogjpc-2011-coyote-500hp-package/

Of course, it's cheaper, and you get a lot more power, by just doing a blower, but whatever gets you down the road.

MMR is junk, but their prices sure make it tempting!

That's not available. It was a test kit they put together for a customer that never made it to the production phase past the R&D. Basically built it for dyno time.

Just a few notes for anyone considering this:

The $2400 is a SHORTBLOCK rebuild using your shortblock.

It has to be removed and torn down to the shortblock.
It has to be sent to them and return freight (+$390).
They'll rebuild it for $2400.
They'll ship it back to you (included in the charge above.)
If you want better oil pump gears (+399)
If you want it sleeved to handle 1500 HP (+$1799)
If you want the ARP Main Studs (+$249)
Manley Billet I Beams (+$800)
Regular Turnaround 4-6 weeks
Expedited Turnaround 1-2 weeks (+$300 extra)

If you want it disassembled/reassembled to long block ( +299 for head studs, +$600 for disassembly/assembly, +$99 for gaskets)

It adds up quick!

Really? Because Jeff even tried to start with that kit and that's what he was told, which was the same thing JPC posted on SVTP when asked about it.
