Considering a smaller chassis, the new IRS, aluminum body panels (not sure which) and a smaller body, 400 lb is very doable. That's going to be sick being back in Fox territory in weight with these power levels.

The new car is so much larger than a Fox, the smaller size and weight will be like buying a 400rw Foxbody that gets 25 mpg. Pretty damn awesome. Just needs a .5 overdrive swap and cruise at 80 at 1300 rpm and get 30+ mpg!

Really skeptical to see how they lose a full 5inches and keep a backseat. I fit fine at 6foot even. My brother was cramped as hell at 6foot 3inches. The current car is barely a 2+2 especially with me driving. Losing 400lbs puts it at weighing less than a Corvette C7. I'll believe all this when/if I see it.

The backseats are supposedly to keep insurance costs lower. Ever looked in the back of a DB9? It's literally two indentions for asses but nowhere to put legs, same exact reason but if you drive a DB9 I wouldn't think you'd be too worried about insurance costs.

This is my first Mustang and my impression from my 2012 is that everything is pretty spot on. I honestly wouldn't change too much from a technical standpoint. Sure I have mods on the way but weight, length height space, seating, are all exactly what I expect. Especially compared to the the Camaro and Challenger it's direct competition.

I've heard that about basically every sporty coupe that has a backseat. Not so sure I am inclined every manufacturer puts a backseat in coupes to keep insurance rates down.

Those tail lights definitely reveal larger (wider) and more rectangular brake lights, so I'm really hoping they went back to the look of the true vertical, separated bars from the 60s!

don't like what Ford is doing here........they alienated the Ford Lightning crowd some time back with no replacement but a SVT Cobra at another 25 grand.....Ford doing it again.....look for large increased in price to allow for R&D ......

i would like to see another 4 banger SVO! I test drove one in 89 that was a last year 86 model......but ended up buying the 89 2 door 5.0 notchback hardtop coupe...... :) what was Hilcher Ford I20 & Cooper....the handling on the SVO was good back then with Koni shocks....6 of them with the kicker shocks
