Would I need a helmet to run? Since the Mach has been tuned I wouldn't mind seeing what it (and I) can do on street tires since I've never drag raced and neither has the Mach in it's current form. This, except I bought basketball break-away pants which are super light (and probably very flamable! Lol). Tech has always let me race with them at every track I've been to. I just leave them in my helmet bag so I always am set when I race.

Google Maps shows 50.5 miles going straight down 35E to 287. You should be able to make it. If not, just stop in Mansfield on the way down there and fill up again before Ennis, then bring an extra 5 gal container to store some safety corn in.

A DOT approved motorcycle style helmet. Can't be a bicycle style foam helmet. Does not have to be full face style. If you run better than 13.49 you need a helmet. If you don't run that quick in a new 5.0 you need a helmet to cover yourself from the embarassment.

Hilarious. Its not only possible, they do it often if the owners have balls enough to do it. It was the second fastest car in the world in 1987 (before the 959 came out), and this one isn't 100 percent stock.

The speedo is off 1 mph at 100 to my gps and my gps radar. So at 200 mph I was going... 198 ;).
