How do you do it? Blip in the desired gear with the clutch in or in nuetral on the way to the desired gear? I've always done it with the clutch in, read somewhere that someone did it nuetral. Im not coordinated enough to blip in nuetral on the way to the desired gear, it's hard enough doing it with the clutch in. Does it matter?

Doesn't matter. Stop playing fast and furious.

Downshifting I blip the throttle with my right side of my right right fool while applying brake pressure while on my way to the desired gear. Basically clutch->blip-> gear while braking. It takes some practice but it gets easier.

I will never be able to heel toe. Too many things to do at once.

Take practice. It's 2nd nature to me now.

I do this a lot while downshifting so it doesn't shock the tranny. I usually blip it with the clutch pushed in right before I move it down a gear.

I do what Danny said. Blip the throttle to get within so many RPMs of where I'm going to be downshifting, while the clutch is in, and I will put it in gear and release the clutch before the RPMs fall again. Sometimes it goes smoother than others.

Just keep foot on edge ofbrake and roll your ankle to throttle to get in rpm range you desire.

Smooth downshifts that put less wear on the clutch?

Smooth downshifts that put less wear on the clutch?I see. Well I granny shift and don't double clutch like I should.

Double clutching is for unsynchronized transmissions

In road racing, not to induce any uncontrolled braking nor sudden weight transfer. Done right, its one of the joys of driving stick.

I guess you were lucky you didn't blow the welds on the intake too, huh?

Rev matching with it in gear will save wear on the clutch. Rev matching in neutral to get it into gear will save syncros
