Taken from JPC Racing's post on SVTP (http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/2011-mustangs-354/872101-diablosport-intune.html).

What's going on guys. I just wanted to let you all know about the new Diablosport inTune and what it can do for your 2011+ Mustang GT.

This WILL NOT leave a fingerprint on your PCM.

They recently released this product and I thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention. For those of you who haven't seen or heard
much about these I'm going to give you a quick overview of the inTune and show you what it can do.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/41259344/DiabloSport/inTune_Image.png

Above is a picture of an inTune.

Shift Firmness
Cooling Fan Control
Fuel Rich/Lean Adjustment
MAF Curve Adjustment
Spark Timing Advance/Retard
Idle RPM
Rev Limiter
Speed Limiter
Torque Management Adjustment
Disable Traction Control

One thing I'd like to point out is that while above I have a list of car's compatible with the new inTune, the list only scratches the surface. A complete list of all the cars the inTune is compatible with can be found HERE (http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?module=htmlpages&func=display&pid=201).

We have these in stock and ready to ship. Just give us a call, check out our site or shoot me a PM if your interested or have any questions.

Only a few of the big name tuners currently work with their CMR software, JPC obviously being the big name, and well as Doug @ C&L, Amazon, and a few others.

Sounds good. I ran a diablo tune on my ram

If this is truth afterall, I may have found my tuner. Grant it the only true Diablo tuners in DFW aren't really that great in Mustang tuning, except maybe Dallas Mustang, but if Shaun or any of the other big names were to jump on the band wagon, this would blow SCT out of the water...

I find that very difficult to believe.

Read through some of the post on SVTP from their Ford specialist that does the programming and such. He said that it can be done.

If I believed everything I read on the internet, my car would make 2000hp on 87 octane, I would have extended my cock to 15 inches, the Nigerian Prince would have sent me millions of dollars for sending him $100, Phuck Phace really is a pimp, Camaro5 would have convinced me the Camaro is the best thing ever and Obama is our savior.

Not saying I am a web-believer, but it can't hurt to try it. If anything, I can always just sell it and go back to stock. They offer a 1 year warranty and 30 money back of I don't like it.

Might just visit the dealership Don'a wife works at and return the car to stock to see of they can see anything. If they can't, Diablosport is telling the truth. If they can, call them out and return it.

We've had nothing but trouble with the new in tune system from diablo. Stick with SCT for mustangs, its the only way to go!

What scares me about the SCT's is all the stories you here about them locking up or "bricking". Why are these cars such a risky thing for tuning?

Most of the time it is user error when the device wants to update but the car was not flashed back to stock before updating. Also keep in mind when you update the hand held, that you lose any tunes saved to it, so be sure to have your tuner on stand by to reflash the device so you can reflash the ecm.

From what i have heard from sean, its capabilites are sub par. For diablo, the predator is a much better route for the mustangs, as is the trinity for the dodge trucks. We only use diablo on dodge vehicles. The sct is leaps and bounds better along with the interface is much more user friendly. I played around with the intune at sema last year when they released it, and yea its kind of a neat gadget, but that is about it.

Well then....

I'm currently doing some "guinea pig" work with it, and I have 30 days to return it to JPC and get my money back. I just have to post a review/results on how I like it over stock.

Being that Speedtek is the only local Diablosport dealer that works on Fords around here, that is a big turn off for custom tunes.

More than likely I will end up sending it back and and probably just wait awhile to get an SCT and dyno tune from y'all.

Diablo makes a great product, just with mustangs we prefer sct.

I think this is an opportunity for you to tell Diablo what you do and don't like about it. Tell them about the things Toby mentioned, tell them how easy/hard it to use, more options, better interface etc. If they are wanting to compete with SCT, they should be open to customer feedback.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. Taking notes when I mess with it, and I'm going to do a few impromtu tests this weekend.

So far, I'm not pleased with how SLOW that thing takes to download the stock tune and upload the canned one. It may be the fact these new PCMs are smart type compared to me old F150, but my SF3 I had for the truck was able to download the stock tune, make adjustments to the custom tune, and upload the tune in 5 minutes.

You can ask Nic, we sat there for about 15-20 minutes to change from stock to preloaded. IDK if this was becuase it was the first time, but I will be flashing back to stock this weekend, so I'll know if it is faster or not a second time.

Also, the touch screen is cheap crap. I can see that wearing out FAST.

Other than those things, I haven't found a problem with it so far. Haven't dug into it though.

Man, that is slow download speed for sure. It looks really flimsy as well. I think anything that would be kept in the garage, or even being held alot should be durable in case it falls or gets dropped.

No way this could survive in the garage in heat.

But I've always kept my handheld in vehicle or inside the home

Out of Diablosport, HP, etc...SCT allows us to create the best custom tunes for Fords, period. They also have great support where HP and others are difficult to get a hold of.

Sean is more than capable of CMR tuning and is the software of choice for our Dodge work. But, as mentioned above, SCT is superior in its tuning abilities on Mustangs/Ford.

Thanks for that bit of info Tim. I'm really wanting to go the custom tune route down the road, preferably local custom tunes. So with that said, I'll probably just ride out this "trial" and return it after giving my review.

With all of the SCT's you guys have sold, how many of them have "bricked" or locked up?

It can happen with any tuner or software , had it happen to my shelby with procal tuner 3x having to have the car flatbedded to the dealer each time. It usually has to do with two things: 1- voltage spike during loading (always keep a charger on it while loading tunes), 2- people update software on handheld and it causes compatibility issues for older tunes or stored stock tunes. Thats what i have discovered over the years

I can honestly say I haven't received any calls from customers regarding locked up handhelds though I know some folks have had "issues" lately. The "update bug" for instance, which has been fixed through the SCT updater program that you install on your PC.

Best thing I can suggest should you encounter an issue with your handheld such as being "locked", missing tunes, or update issues is to have access to your PC's SCT updater program (which will update automatically). Get an SCT tech on the phone and they'll remotely fix you up in a matter of minutes! In many cases this is the only option.
