For a while now my exhaust has sounded like complete garbage when I start it up. A few months ago I took it to Pronto and had them chase down a couple of very small leaks.

It seems to be getting worse and worse.

I notice it most when the car sits for a day or more, very scratchy & almost a high pitch whistle sound coming from it.

After it warms up a bit and I drive it a couple miles it dies off, but when I get to about 2800-3000 rpms I hear it sound like it's vibrating loose.

Car has a catted X and Roush AB's

Opinions?

Prob from the inside of the mufflers, I've read they get rusted out inside bc they hold water

drill weep holes in the bottom of the muffler right before the exhaust tip and watch the water flow out like niagra falls.

Mostly only a problem for those who do not drive it daily and wash the car, filling the muffler with water, then park it for an extended period. The heat from the exhaust will get most of the water out if you run the car for a while after washing it

Aren't you running Roush?

Too late for weep holes man they're screwed. On my first set we drilled weep holes and they rusted from the inside out until they broke completely through at the welds. Dealership in Plano took mine and sent them back to Roush. My new ones are a completely different design and have weep holes already drilled.

Happens on daily driven cars as well. When I drilled my weep holes it drained for about 10 minutes they were completely full of water. About a month later the leaks/rattles began.

Just telling you like it is from personal experience of this exact issue. On a side note my new Roush set is awesome And will probably last 200 years.

Beau told me to send them back to Roush. 2 problems with that.

1. I didn't purchase it so I don't have a proof of purchase.
2. What would I put on my car til they came back if they did warranty them? Run a straight X?

Just a heads up Roush is extremely unhelpful from a customer service standpoint and wont do shit most likely. I'd take it to the dealer and make them deal with it. I had to buy a set of stock axlebacks for the 3 weeks my stuff was gone.

I'm sure the dealer will just offer to throw some stock ones on. How's that gonna go over with the midpipe?
