View Full Version : Getting Rid of my Caliper Covers...What to do next?

The previous owner had the calipers painted red and it was done very shittily. (One of the big reasons I went ahead and just put covers over the bad paint job). I want to get rid of the covers now and was thinking of repainting the calipers. Was thinking about just going back to red but though black might look pretty sleek. Granted I kinda have a sporadically distributed red color theme going on though through my springs, LCAs, and engine pieces in the engine bay so thought it might just be best to repaint the calipers red w/o the covers in place.

Thoughts?

I'd just go with red. It's a pretty easy job.

Big brakes.

Ya I'd love to. Just can't fathom spending 1000+ on stopping power when I don't really need it yet. I'll probably go with what you have David when I go FI. So... long time from now lol

powder coat them.

there is a pc place right by work that charges a minimum $150 per color, so if you and I got our brakes pc in red, it would be fairly reasonable I think. $75 each

LOL! I am not taking my brakes apart just to powder coat them. I have painted calipers before with those specific brush on paint kits and they look great. Just lost of cleaning involved.

powder coating only requires spraying with water. LOL
