Lately I have been researching clutches and realized I know nothing about aftermarket ones. I know since I don't baby my car, it could go out sooner rather than later. Here's what I want to know:

How long (avg) should my clutch last? I don't drag a lot or abuse it. I have never had a car over 50k miles and plan on keeping this one way past that.

Recommendations for better performing, stock drivability clutch. (Price or details if you had it)

Is the installation real tough?

Will this with a billet flywheel help performance?

I've got a ram powergrip with aluminum flywheel. Holds well with my Power level and revs faster worth he aluminum flywheel.

It really depends how long your clutch lasts. I've seen guys with completely stock cars burn a clutch up within the first 5k miles. At the same time, I've seen guys with 500-700HP have their clutch hold up fine.
I'm pushing just over 600 to the wheels, I have the single disc Exedy Mach 600 stage 4 clutch and billet flywheel and it has really great street manners.
As far as install, if you're not used to doing something like this have a shop do it. I don't know how much shops charge in TX but here in NC it can range from 200-400 for install. With the new flywheel you'll most likely have to do a crankshaft relearn due to it being lighter. Throughs your sensors all out of whack but your local dealership can do it for you.

+1. They are little pricey but worth every penny

I had the change the one in my mach a few times but not sure how diff it is in the new 5.0. I the second time I changed it I went to a Spec stage 2+ and loved it. held up to 5500rpm clutch dumps at the track with slicks but I was still at 300hp

I would suggest the Spec stage II. I have installed many of them with nothing but great 100% success on fitment, quality, and driveability. I would also upgrade to an aluminum flywheel while in there, it will provide much crisper throttle response and smoother acceleration! Give us a call if you would like to talk pricing!

My uncle has the Exedy Stage III in his '11 GT and it has a nice firm feel and is very streetable.

The stock clutch lining shredded at 14k miles. He was kinda hard on it though, lol.
