A Dfw5.0s meet? Or the one that used to be at the sonic on Mayfield on wednesdays that had a bunch of hs kids doing burnouts?

Lol. It seems as though the majority of site members live in North and Northeast dfw :/ I'm not up for driving halfway across Texas very often for a meet during the week.

There's a pretty cool spot called GreaseMonkey in dowtown/central Arlington. Food is pretty good, reasonably priced and the place has a bar. They also have live music on certain nights. The atmosphere is fitting for a meet. That place could be a possibility. Their actual lot wasn't huge but I believe there are some abandoned lots directly across the street if I remember right.

Do they have hot girls working there?

JDMLOL
04-11-2013, 06:21 PM
Eh. They weren't hooters or bone daddys girls, the ones behind the counter were ok. It's one of those places you order, seat yourself and get your food when the buzzer goes off.

I would definitely be up for meeting there. I'm new to Mustangs, so personally don't know many that own one. I know a lot of people don't show if they think the turnout will be low.

Grease monkey would be horrible for parking, although it is a great car themed hangout. There is also Twisted Root, and it would be cool to park all the cars right there off Abram for everyone to see.

That will never happen at twisted there's no parking there

Saturday and Sundays are best

I've been looking for a more local event in the McKinney and surrounding area. Anything to show the wife how much cooler it is to modify your stang. Unfortunately just moved to an apartment for 4 months while a new house is being built, so funds and time is limited for me.

Well hell if we have something in ft worth the 7th street area is the only place to go, especially on weekends. What about parking? I know it gets crazy over there on weekends.

No idea. I avoid the arlington/ft.worth areas like Phuck Phace avoiding AA meetings.

I'm going to see what's going on at cowtown c&c tomorrow and I'll pass through to see what sort of parking they have. I know a lot of people park in garages or on the street but there could be some abandoned lots near by.

Where/what is that?

Right now I'm at a place called the fort worth food park where food trucks park. They have a permanent beer shack and are open Thursdays-Sundays. It seems pretty cool. Parking is on the street but it's off any main roads hidden in a business park. Cool environment with a nice shade canopy over picnic tables.

Checked it out...not much parking. I still think the 7th street area would be great. What about BoomerJack's? I have never been there, but Montgomery plaza has lots of parking.

Montgomery plaza will tow if your not in one of their businesses. Parking sucks down there on the weekends. Magnolia is cool but no parking on the weekends. There is a parking garage right by there but it fills up quick too. It would be easier to park at greese monkey than anywhere off 7th.

I still think grease monkey is a good option. There is an empty lot across the street.

This is true. The one by the railroad tracks across from Mellow Mushroom is a decent size too, but obviously a little walk.

Unless you are talking about the old used car lot that greasmonkey parks the limo in.
