There seems to be a big debate among our cars about intakes being worth the money or not.
What's your opinion?
What intake setup did you go with?

I have C&L, don't know if it improved anything.
I will have it for sale later this year. ;)

You didn't notice an improvement at all with it?

I'm sure most of what I felt was from the tune.

The stock intake on our cars is extremely efficient. The gains you feel come from the associated tune, not the new tube. I went with a JLT, mostly for looks, and GH's gave me a good deal.

The C&L is the best, the others are so-so. But it also does have a lot to do with the tune.

i've heard this as well.
The first items i added to my car were a JLT with a BBR email tune and i definitely felt a good difference. But it's very possible that the tune (throttle response, cam timing, etc) were the real difference makers.

the boss 302s race car runs with a stock air box.... gotta be a reason for that.

I ran the JLT CF CAI with tune and hit the same time as stock box with tune on the 1/8 mile...IMO, im good with my stock box.

I say jlt. Same HP results and less cost compared to c&l. I know on the 3v one of the mustang mags compared the two and picked up 3 or 4 more HP with the jlt.

Hey UT5.0 how long ago(miles) did they tune it for you? Any issues? Cost if you don't mind me asking.

The first tune cost me $250, but you have to bring your own sct tuner. The secind dyno tune was $75. No issues at all the guy semmed to know alot about 5.0s. he said that he took some timing out of the number 8 cylinder since there have been issues with that other wise it would have made a bit more power.

Sweet. Thanks for the info! I live right in the subdivision next to them. They did gears in my 09 3v but they kind of messed up. I got my tune from Dallas mustang but I'm not happy with their numbers so I've been thinking about taking it to GH. Probably just going to by a single license and get my friend to road tune it. He is pretty experienced as far as tuning goes.
