I've been looking for you guys for the last 30 minutes. I can't believe how expensive these seats are! I have yet to find a set for less than $2000! For seats, that's crazy!

I was gonna say I have Recaro's, but I am sure the fuck not selling 'em lol. Wish you guys the best luck finding a set though, crap is expensive from ford racing, apparently they like ripping peeps a new one after the fact.

I've found a wrecked car with Recaros. I'm going down there to check the seats out.

Check closely at the seat back reclining mechanism. That part is likely to get damaged in a wreck and the seat would be unsafe to use.

As for the price of the Recaro seat, they are not outrageously priced when you consider a typical Recaro Sport seat is about $800 and you still have to buy seat tracks. Add seat airbag to the deal and you are right up there.

I've used cheaper seat before and consider I can twist and flex the seat back with my bare hands does not make it confidence inspiring about how they will hold up in a crash. Seats are a major part of a safety system so don't skim on it.

If the seat back breaks easily in a crash, your seat belts, airbags, etc. are all made useless if you are not in the seated position.

The last item I kept debating on was the recaros! I ended up going with the comfort and power package, as it did safe a few bucks.... I wonder how hard it would be to retrofit recaros on the power tracks?
