I haven't been down there in a while and I want to visit the Alamo cause I'm a history buff, buck horn saloon, and probably sea world since I haven't been there in over 15 years. Planning on doing the river walk tour and eating on the river walk. What else is there to do and what are some nice but not overpriced hotels?

What would Ozzy do?

I don't think he would piss on the Alamo again after going to jail and being banned from San Antonio for 20 years. lol.

In Austin:
Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum

In San Antonio:
Riverwalk, plenty of shopping and restaurants. Can take a boat trip on the riverwalk
Mission Trail / San Antonio National Historical Parks
Buckhorn Museum & Saloon
Schilo's Delicatessen is a great lunch spot (homemade root beer).
Tower of Americas for sight seeing (go to the restaurant for an appizer or drink and you can skip all the touristry junk for free)
Guenther House, best place for breakfast.
Menger Hotel (right by alamo, lots of neat stuff to see on the way in or out.)

In driftwood, Tx (near austin)
Salt Lick BBQ BEST GOD DAMN BBQ EVER. Cash only, arrive early for little to no wait.

We also took a really long way back, and went to Dublin Tx, but that was back when they still made Dr. Pepper.
