Hey guys, just wanted to let y'all know that my buddy Patrick that has done a few alignments for guys on here no longer works with David McDavid Acura in Plano, and unfortunately Land Rover of Frisco (his new gig) doesn't have an alignment rack low enough for our cars to drive on (he already has to use fabbed up wooden ramps he made to put his truck on there), so he can't do anymore alignments.

Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up.

Me too. LOL. He text me last night and told me, right as I was texting him to ask about installing my struts this weekend. So I will need to get an alignment either Saturday afternoon after the Charter guy leaves my apt, or Sunday...

Sorry that happened. He usually keeps up with things, but I know there were some other personal things going on awhile back that he didn't even tell me about, so it might have just slipped his mind.

Thanks, I will keep that place in mind.

I have been considering going to a "chain" shop and getting a lifetime alignment, that way if I am ever in another state/city I can get it done for free, as long as it is acknowledged by the parent company, and not just a single shop.

Thats a good idea, but a couple places i checked liked NTB wont touch a lowered car. I know some locations will do it, but its hit and miss.

What makes no sense is the NTB i went to had an in ground rack.

Some people think that because it's lowered, the people did it wrong, and it will never be possible to get it back within factory specs. They are just lazy.

My thoughts as well, pure laziness.

Is this over off of 35 and Royal? Ron Johnson? I worked for him a long time ago when I was laid off. Good guy and a straight shooter.

Most alignments I've price are around $75-$85 depending if you go to a dealer or a Firestone/NTB

O ok, cool good to know. Hoping to have mine lowered by April. Didn't think the dealer would align it for me though once it was lowered

I just bought the lifetime alignment at Firestone Auto Care. It's good at any location nationwide, and they aligned my car without a problem.

Dang lifetime, how much did that run you? Still in the 75-85 range?

Ha. I wish. It was ~$190 OTD after taxes and such. But that allows me to stop in anytime I feel my alignment is out of whack, or after messing with the suspension/installing anything that requires a realignment. I plan to have this car for awhile, so I know I will get at least 3-4 alignments with it.

Had my buddy do mine (he doesn't seem to like doing it on the side for some reason) but I was surprised how close my alignment was after the BMR springs and adj. panhard. I've been lucky, I can usually get away with buying him lunch or $20 for the work. Any alignment for under $70 I'd consider a good deal for those pricing it.

Ok I need good alignment place Dallas alignment and frame co is not good. Went there guy put my car on machine and for car spec he put as 07 gt500 they don't go up to 2011. He could not do anything he said it will be 70 and on top of that he would have to let out each strut which will be 50 each so 170 for alignment. For that price I might as well drop off at dealer. Does anyone know one in frisco area

Go to bob toms in mckinney. Let them know the guys at ts sent you. That is where we get all our alignments done, the guys there know how to deal with aftermarket parts and get them setup properly. I think its around $100

And they have all new alignment equipment. The new clamps have no metal contacting the wheel.
They also have the latest tire balancers that measure radial runout and roadforce.
